Try Proton Safe on a useful task¶
Choose one conversation you are comfortable sharing with your AI provider. Allow about 15 minutes for a first attempt; this is a suggestion, not an installation-time guarantee. Check the requirements and install the app first.
1. Check the connection¶
In your local assistant, ask:
Check whether Proton Safe tools are available, without reading my messages or creating a draft.
If the tools are missing, return to Proton Safe and check the connection. Follow the client-restart instructions before reinstalling anything.
2. Find and summarise a conversation¶
Replace the bracketed topic with your own:
Find my recent conversations about [topic] and summarise the questions still open.
This request reads your mail. Check the summary against the original exchange. Was it accurate, and did it save you time? You do not need to share the exchange or the summary in your feedback.
3. Prepare a reply you can review¶
Suggest a short reply to that exchange. Show me the recipient, subject and exact body before creating a draft.
Review the proposal and confirm the exact content only if you want the draft created. Open Proton Mail to check the draft. You decide whether to send it. Sending is not required for this test, and Proton Safe cannot send it for you.

The form is public and requires a GitHub account. French and English are welcome. Report your Ubuntu version, Proton Safe version, assistant, the last successful step and what was useful or confusing. No email content is needed.
Do not include account addresses, passwords, message text, attachments or unredacted screenshots/logs. The app offers a redacted diagnostic preview; review even that before sharing. For a suspected security issue, use the private reporting route.
If the maintainer invited you personally and you prefer not to use GitHub, reply through that same private conversation with the step you reached and what blocked you. There is no mailing list or separate registration form.
After a few days, try a second real task. Tell us whether you used the connection again; that is more useful than a download count or a star.
